Darius has c. 20 years of global experience in investment banking, private equity and corporate finance. He started his investment banking career as a financial analyst at Salomon Bothers investment bank (later became part of Citigroup) in New York in 1997 and later moved to London where worked at Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas and JP Morgan banks until 2015. Throughout his banking career, he worked on a number of strategic projects (mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and capital raising transactions) for companies and investors in the US, Europe, Asia and Middle East.
Darius had also a unique opportunity work with a well-known investor Lord Jacob Rothschild at investment management firm Spencer House Capital Management, where Darius managed private equity investment portfolio (focused on emerging markets) at Tau Capital plc fund during 2008-2010.
Since early 2015 Darius is a senior advisor at the Corporate Finance team at one of the largest energy companies in the world (Saudi Aramco) and is responsible for advising senior management of Aramco on strategic projects. In addition, in September 2017 Darius has also been elected as the Chairman and Non-Executive member of Supervisory Board of 'Lietuvos Energija'. He currently divides his time between London, Bahrain/Saudi Arabia and Vilnius.
Darius graduated with BSBA degree in Finance with highest honours from the University of Denver (USA), Masters of Studies in International Relations from University of Cambridge (UK) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (USA).
Darius hobbies are skiing, hiking, reading (history, philosophy, art, international relations), photography, collecting art and enjoying jazz and classical music.
