Currently I am working within Swedbank as Transformation manager within one of the biggest regulatory project. I have been asked to move to Sweden since the 1st of September, 2016 and work from Swedbank HQ office for 12 months period and then relocate back to Lithuania.
Before that I have spend 6 years working in Barclays Technology Centre within various IT services as Service Manager and also as Team Leader in Global IT Service Desk. Before Barclays, I used to live and work in Kaunas. I have finished by bachelors and master degree in Vilnius University and started to work in Transcom while being a 4th year bachelors student.
I am looking forward to help students to identify their future needs, career and plan it wisely. Happy to share my experience as I believe I have quite a "strange" profile :)

Algirdas Ziogas received his PhD from the University of Zurich (in 2001) and has over eighteen years of life sciences experience in Switzerland with emphasis on cancer, virology, stem cell research and tissue engineering.
He has been responsible for large multinational EU FP6, FP7 and Swiss National Fund and CTI funded projects. Algirdas has been involved in the rational design and screening of therapeutic molecules for tissue engineering application, establishment of in vivo models, imaging and innovative medical devices in the international network of academic institutions and partners in industry. This led to the successful patent applications, preclinical proof of concepts and several “First-in-Man” studies.
Algirdas also has passion for photography, mountains and teaching and has been involved in the organization of conferences as well courses, workshops, TV programmes, lectures and web conferences for students, scientists and physicians. He has prepared numerous presentations, publications and strategies in an effort to create the appropriate “messaging” that supports long term commercialization objectives of research activities (https://www.researchgate.net/ researcher/71720598_Algirdas_Z iogas). Algirdas would be interested to help motivated students considering carrier in life sciences, healthcare industry or cross-disciplinary areas leading to innovation.

Rūta is a IT Project Manager working for Telia, taking care of implementation of technical projects. She has been supporting ERP internal deployments and upgrades, dealing with change management. Rūta has an extensive work experience in Asia.

She graduated from Vilnius University with a Bachelor degree in Economics and got Master's degree in Modern Asian studies.

Rūta has been a mentor for Portuguese, Finish, Indian and Lithuanian students and young professionals since 2012. She has enjoyed learning from them. Thus, she would like to meet curious and motivated mentees, who are interested in finding their future career.

Andrius is a former college basketball athlete who successfully transferred and translated his on-court learned skills of discipline, dedication, commitment, teamwork, creativity, leadership, adaptability to his personal and professional business career.

Throughout this journey of his, he also obtained an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) and MHRM (Masters of Human Resources Management) at DeVry/Keller Graduate School of Management while working full time.

He started off his career at Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Advisors at financial investments field.

Next stop took 14 years in the transportation/logistics industry, where he was holding various managerial level roles.

After nearly 2 decades of continues higher education and professional life, he transitioned to self sufficient personal assets management by reaching F.I.R.E. at age of 37.

Andrius would be interested in mentoring someone who:

Dr. Ieva Žumbytė is a gender and political sociologist. She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice, University College Dublin, Ireland. Her research examines how policy actors shape welfare systems and how welfare systems shape gender inequality. She has conducted many quantitative and qualitative research projects and published in various academic journals and policy outlets. Besides academic research, Ieva consults international organizations on gender equality, childcare and related policy issues. Before her PhD, Ieva worked in the World Bank’s Social Development Department researching policy issues on gender, social exclusion, poverty and social impacts of policy reforms in the Global South. Her country experience includes the EU (Ireland, Lithuania, UK), India, and Vietnam. Ieva holds a Ph.D. and MA in Sociology from Brown University, USA, an MA in Economics from University College London, UK, and a dual BA in Economics from Edinburgh Napier University, UK and ISM School of Management and Economics, Lithuania.

Ieva was one of the coordinators of LT Big Brother project - USA region from 2012 to 2016.

Sigitas is CFO of Hotrema, a fast-growing company providing industrial engineering services. He “carries" his background of an auditor, retail banker and customer service person, what he finds to be a very useful combination to understand the inside and outside of the organisation. He enjoys when the team can meet the needs of various stakeholders, as well as when it progresses from “no that will not work” to “well, this way should be fine”. He believes that there is nothing wrong if a young professional is not absolutely sure what he or she will finally do in their life.
